Here in the fertile pastures of the Connecticut River Valley, we work tirelessly to produce the best quality meat for you to feed your family. You can trust that our animals are raised with care and attention, that quality and consistency matter and that you know where the food you feed your family comes from.

We are the Comtois family and we are The Upper Forty Farm.

We believe that the food that we eat should ethically raised in harmony with Nature. We believe that farmers should give back to the land more than they take. We believe that the conditions the animals are raised in directly affect the final quality of the meat. Here at Upper Forty Farm, we raise our animals organically, our Lamb and Beef are 100% grass fed and pasture raised.  We practice regenerative livestock grazing, rotating our livestock throughout our pastures and silvo-pastures frequently to prevent over grazing and work with nature, not against it. 

Above all, constant and unwavering care is required every single day of an animal’s life to achieve a premium cut of meat. We understand that and we go that extra mile for you.
